Coryell Health Medical Clinic

Quick Care Clinic LVN – Full Time 12 HR Rotating Shifts (Flexibility a must)
    
Summary: Performs assigned nursing duties, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, under the direct supervision of a Physician, Midlevel Provider or RN.  Also performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record/documentation, administering medications, giving injections, and taking vital signs.

Qualifications:
1. Compact License or Licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or possesses a temporary permit to practice vocational nursing in Texas. Nurse with temporary permit (GVN) has 75 days to take the NCLEX after they receive the Authorization to Test per Texas Board of Nursing.
2. Ability to facilitate communication and problem solving with staff physicians, patients, families, and administration.
3. Must have current Basic Life Support certificate
4. Prefer one year or more of nursing clinical experience.

LVN - Full Time

If GVN fails NCLEX the temporary permit is revoked by the Texas Board of Nursing and job status at Coryell Medical Clinic will be demoted to position and pay prior to GVN status (nurse tech/CNA) or may result in termination.
4. Prefer one year or more of nursing clinical experience.
5. Prefer the following skills:  the ability to multi-task, problem solving, organizational skills, experience using an Electronic Medical Record.

Culinary

Cook - Full Time

Summary: Under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor, prepares food as planned on cycle menu, using standardized recipes. Correctly portions and serves food. Uses accepted storage techniques. Maintains a sanitation standard, follows safety regulations, keeps record as required. Supervises and trains Food Service staff members, upholds policies of Coryell Health and its long term care facilities.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Culinary Degree a plus
3. Must be Food Protection Management Certified.
4. Must have 3 plus years institutional food service experience, including knowledge of food production, therapeutic diets, and sanitation.
5. Must be able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, depending upon the needs of Coryell Health and its long-term facility as directed.
6. Must be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English.

EMS

EMT-B PRN

Summary: To provide professional care and transport of the sick and injured to hospital or other health facility in emergency and non-emergency situations. May perform a variety of basic life support skills in the pre-hospital and hospital setting. Perform Security functions as required.

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Certified by the Texas Department of Health as an EMT-Basic with BLS certification.
3. Must be over 18 and possess a Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
4. Two years' experience in an EMS position preferred.

Home Health 

RN Casemanager - Full Time

Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional member of the health care team who provides skilled nursing care to patients in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and within the policies and procedures of the agency, upholding standards of nursing practice.  Keeps abreast of current techniques and innovations to meet special needs of the patients and staff.  Is responsible for monitoring, altering and coordinating the services the patient receives to promote optimum care. Is responsible for completion of all required documentation. Takes after hours, on-call responsibilities as assigned.  Coordinates schedules/staffing.  Supervises skilled and non-skilled care.  Completes comprehensive chart reviews on active and discharged patient record components for qualitative analysis of content.

Summary:  Cares for and treat patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort of their own homes.  Performs duties in accordance with established methods and techniques, and in conformance with recognized standards.  Provides patient care within limits defined by delegated tasks.  Tasks are performed under direct supervision of a Nurse/Charge Nurse or Physician.

Qualifications:

1.  Must be a Certified Nurse Aide
2.  Prior clinical experience preferred
3.  Must be able to write legibly
4.  Must be of good physical and mental health and possess adequate speech and hearing to communicate well
5.  Should possess the ability to work under close supervision and follow verbal and written instructions.

Home Care Attendants: PCA-PRN Positions Available

Summary:  Furnishes personal care to patients in their home within the scope of their abilities and in accordance with the policies set forth by the agency under the supervision of a registered nurse.  Attendants are needed to cover the Gatesville, Moody, Oglesby, Hico, Copperas Cove, and Evant areas.

Housekeeping Personnel - Full Time

Director of Nursing for ED - Full Time

Summary: Utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of patient care and in supervisory patient care.  Supervises and directs nursing staff in provision of nursing care.  Responsible for delivering care that is therapeutically effective and safe as well as cost-effective.  Participates in Performance Improvement and assures safe patient care.  Assists in maintaining up to date policies and procedure manuals and utilizes them as reference in supervising.  Attends and participates in staff, charge nurse and nurse executive meetings.  Participates in orientation, training and education of staff.  Demonstrates leadership abilities which enhance the management of the unit.

Qualifications:

1. Licensed and currently registered as a Professional nurse in the state of Texas (RN)
2. At least 2 years’ experience in critical care as an RN
3. Experience in a supervisory position in which potential administrative and supervisory competence has been demonstrated

1. Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in the state of Texas or possesses a temporary permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas while awaiting receipt of license.
2. Required to meet qualification criteria during hospital and nursing unit orientation periods.
3. Prefer one year of professional nursing experience in emergency or critical clinical setting.
4. Require current CPR and ACLS certification within one year of employment.
5. Highly recommend PALS and Neonatal Resuscitation within two years of employment.

Summary: The CMA is to assist in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, nurse supervisor, or the Director of Nursing Services. The administration of medications shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, policy and procedure of this facility, and the requirements of the state.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Certified Nurse Aide & maintain without lapse.
2. Must be certified by the state of Texas as a Certified Medication Aide and maintain without lapse.
3. Prior clinical experience preferred.
4. Requires current CPR and must maintain without lapse.
5. Must be able to write legibly.

CNA - Full Time and PRN Evenings

Physical Therapy

Speech Language Pathologist-Audiologist

Speech Therapist/PRN Position Available

Summary:  Conducts evaluation, rehabilitation, and training in the areas of speech and language disorders. Works under the general direction of the policies and procedures of the hospital, and, as appropriate, under the policies of contract facilities and the referring physician.  Under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapy Director.

Qualifications: 

1.  Must possess a current State Board of Examiners Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license
2.  1 - 2 years of experience preferred
3.  Must be experienced in performing MBS and providing treatment for dysphagia (Vital Stim certified preferred) 

Cardiopulmonary Services

Cardiology RN- PRN Temp

Summary: The RN is primarily responsible for utilizing the nursing process and nursing standards in providing the health needs to the patient receiving cardiac testing and evaluations.

Coryell Health RehabLiving at The Meadows

RN or LVN Charge Nurse – Full Time and PRN

Summary: The primary purpose of your job position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:

1. Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a current, valid license or registration (RN or LPN/LVN) in the state of Texas.
2. Nursing experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
