Neurosurgery (or neurological surgery) is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system.

Steven Zielinski, MD, CM, FRCSC is seeing patients at Coryell Specialty Clinic and operating at Coryell Memorial Hospital.

Process Overview

At Texas Spine & Neurosurgery, our patients undergo a thorough initial evaluation, including a thoughtful review of their medical history, imaging studies and test results. We approach patient treatment with the most conservative therapy possible, given the patients’ individual set of symptoms and needs.  The majority of our patients do not require surgery.
We encourage our patients to take an active role in their own care, but always provide guidance regarding the optimal treatment options for them.  In some cases, such as those involving spinal cord compression, neurologic deficit, or primary brain tumors, we provide cutting-edge surgical treatment of spinal disorders, and use minimally invasive techniques whenever possible.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
