Job Description:

Summary: The Nurse Education/Staffing Coordinator will plan, organize, and instruct nursing orientation and provide for staffing continuing education needs, develop and implement competency programs, assist professional staff in the identification and assessment of performance problems and provides technical advice and assistance regarding equipment and procedures. He/she will also plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate nursing staff extended range schedules, and will maintain daily staffing needs. Maintains harmonious inter and intra-departmental relationships. Maintains strict confidentiality concerning personnel and other sensitive information. Leadership abilities of the Nurse Education Coordinator must be demonstrated by personal attributes and behavior which enhances the management of the staff, administrative services and clinical practice throughout the hospital.

Job Qualifications:

Qualifications:

1. Licensed and current Registered Nurse in the State of Texas, or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas
2. Skilled in management of interpersonal relationships, organization, and coordination of efforts, and personnel.
3. Must have stamina to work extra hours as needed.
4. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written).
5. At least 3-5 years experience in nursing as an RN or LVN
6. Three years supervisory experience preferred.
7. Active interest in continuing education through academic courses, workshops, and seminars.

It is also required, if you have any type of Licensures or Certifications that are necessary for the job posting that you are applying for, you will have to send us a copy of that as well when you send in your application and Resume.
