Live Healthy, Stay Young at Heart!
Learn some tips for a healthy heart from our Cardiologist Dr. Keylani!
CardioPulmonary is a group of medical service lines whose primary focus is a combination of both cardiac and pulmonary services. These departments include Cardiac Rehab, Diagnostic Electrocardiology, Pulmonary Function Lab, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Respiratory Therapy, and Sleep Center.
Our CardioPulmonary team plays a vital role in the health of our community by diagnosing and treating people suffering from the heart and lung problems. Our goal is to help people with conditions like asthma, bronchitis, COPD, and heart disease to feel better, and live a more complete life.
Cardiologists
Cardiologists specialize in management of heart disease risk factors, diagnosis of heart and circulatory system problems, and procedures that help manage heart disease. At Coryell Health, cardiologists work in conjunction with our Diagnostic Imaging and Respiratory Care departments to provide the following services: echocardiography (ultrasound of the heart) with or without contrast; myocardial imaging with chemical or treadmill stress; and echocardiography with chemical or treadmill stress. Cardiologists may visit with patients in his or her office or at the hospital, depending on patients’ needs.
Pulmonary Function & Respiratory Therapy
The Respiratory Care Department assists patients with known or suspected pulmonary disease or dysfunction. Our team helps patients improve the quality of their lives through improved breathing. Our licensed respiratory therapists work in conjunction with physicians, nurses and other clinicians to assess patient needs and develop individual treatment plans. With extensive training in pulmonary medicine and many years of professional experience, our team offers a comprehensive array of diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services. Notably, our Respiratory Care Department earned the “Quality Respiratory Care” designation from the American Association for Respiratory Care.
Respiratory Therapists
Respiratory therapists are an integral part of a hospital’s health care team, as they administer and assess the effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Each of our therapists is equipped to serve as a consultant to the physician in the treatment and management of respiratory problems. Therapists administer oxygen, rehabilitation techniques, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and maintenance of natural and artificial airways. Often, they administer the Pulmonary Function Test, which is a measurement of ventilatory volumes, pressures, flows, and the analysis of blood and respiratory gases.
Pulmonary Function Lab
Our Pulmonary Function Testing Laboratory offers comprehensive pulmonary function testing in a state-of-the-art laboratory. Tests include, but are not limited to, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), Spirometry, Lung volumes, and Diffusing Capacity for Carbon Monoxide (DLCO).
