CardiologyAbout Daniel Jipescu, DO
Dr. Daniel Jipescu, affectionately called Dr. Daniel by patients, relocated to Texas from Eastern Europe more than 20 years ago after attending medical school in Long Island, New York, to pursue his dream of becoming an interventional cardiologist.
During medical school, he was thoroughly involved with the New York chapter of the American College of Physicians. He served as the medical student representative on their council board for a few years. During this time, he learned about the importance of advocacy for patients and healthcare policies while participating in multiple local and national conferences.
After meeting many friendly people in Texas while searching for the best place to train and falling in love with the idea of living here, he moved to the DFW area with his family. He was fortunate to find supportive mentors and a great hospital staff. His colleagues and the hospital staff described Dr. Daniel as very kind and passionate about his patients, awarding him the Dr. Jeremy Gaspar Humanitarian Award twice.
Dr. Daniel took his training to the highest levels by learning from multiple leaders in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, heart failure, kidney transplant and heart transplant. He was grateful to be given the opportunity to learn from the ECMO team at Medical City Healthcare.
In his spare time, Dr. Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, learning about new technologies and participating in medical conferences.
