About Jeffrey Bates, MD, CMO
Dr. Bates joined Coryell Memorial Healthcare System in July of 2010 as a hospitalist and urgent care/walk in clinic doctor. In August of 2011 he took on the role of Medical Director of Coryell EMS and Coryell Memorial Emergency Department. In 2013, with the rapid growth of the institution, the Hospital Board appointed Dr. Bates to the position of Vice President for Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Coryell Memorial Healthcare System.
Dr. Bates has five children, the oldest of which works in the Coryell Memorial Emergency Department and is starting medical school in 2016.
Before practicing medicine Dr. Bates worked as an EMT, 911 operator and fire rescue dispatcher in rural North Florida.
