About Neil Amar, MD
Dr. Amar grew up in Waco and is excited about the opportunity to return to the community to practice at The Allergy & Asthma Center founded by his father. He specializes in adult and pediatric allergy and is board certified by both The American Board of Allergy & Immunology and The American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition his main clinic in Waco, Dr. Amar is privileged to serve the people of Gatesville at Coryell Health Medical Clinic.
Dr. Amar received his undergraduate degree from Houston Baptist University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed Internal Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Following residency, he completed Allergy & Immunology fellowship training at The University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Amar and his wife, who is a psychiatrist, are thrilled to be back in central Texas. They enjoy spending time with their daughter and dogs on their ranch outside of Waco.
