We are asking people to continue masking. We know that it works.

With respect to Governor Abbott’s Executive Order GA-34, Coryell Health will continue to keep safety as the number one priority.  Masks will remain a requirement in all of our facilities, even after vaccination.  “Removing state mandates does not end personal responsibility,” Abbott cautioned. “Personal vigilance to follow the safe standards is still needed to contain COVID. It’s just that State mandates are no longer needed at this time.”

Our position to continue masks on all Coryell Health campuses is based on hard data and science, aligns with recommendations from the CDC, and the advice of leading medical and scientific leaders. Masking, hand washing, and staying home when sick are safety measures that have been proven to save lives. We are diligently working to vaccinate and protect our community against COVID.  The pandemic is not over, and our safety measures should not be, either. We urge you to continue to strive to protect those around you by following the CDC masking guidelines.
