About David M Pinkstaff, MD

Dr. David Pinkstaff is a board-certified urologist with nearly 20 years of experience providing comprehensive urologic care in Central Texas. Now seeing patients at Coryell Health Medical Clinic-Gatesville, Dr. Pinkstaff is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered treatment to individuals of all ages.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Texas Christian University and his Doctor of Medicine from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Pinkstaff completed his residency in Urology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2005 and is certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Pinkstaff specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of urologic conditions, offering both medical and surgical solutions. His clinical interests include voiding dysfunction, urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stones, and urologic cancers. He is skilled in performing open, laparoscopic, and endoscopic procedures, as well as vasectomies.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Pinkstaff has been actively involved in medical research. During his residency, he co-authored several journal articles and a textbook chapter, and presented his findings at multiple national conferences. He was named a Pfizer Scholar in Urology in 2001.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Pinkstaff enjoys golf, snow skiing, fly fishing, cooking, and spending quality time with his wife and children.

Dr. Pinkstaff will begin seeing new patients at Coryell Health Medical Clinic – Gatesville starting June 2025. He accepts self-pay and all major medical insurance plans, including but not limited to: Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, United Healthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS).
