About Jantzen Matli, DO

Dr. Jantzen Matli, a rural Oklahoma native, attended college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, where he received his undergraduate in Microbiology. He attended medical school at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa, OK. After graduation, Dr. Matli remained in Tulsa to complete his residency in family medicine at OSU Medical Center.

In his youth, Dr. Matli was raised on his family farm, so when his wife, also a family medicine physician, was offered the opportunity to complete her residency training in Waco, they jumped at the chance to move to Texas. “My goal has always been to return to a rural, medically underserved area and provide the best care possible to the people of that community. Having the chance to work in Gatesville and the Central Texas area at Coryell Health has been ideal,” said Dr. Matli.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Matli enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, watching college sports and grilling steaks.
