About Katy Waters, FNP-C, APRN

Originally from Gatesville, Katy Waters, FNP-C, is a family medicine practitioner providing comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families, covering a wide range of medical issues. She graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX, with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018. She later earned her master’s degree through Walden University’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program, graduating with honors. Katy is a registered advanced practice nurse through the Texas Board of Nursing and is board certified as an FNP with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. 

Returning to practice where she grew up, Katy is deeply committed to giving back and contributing to the well-being of her community. Caring for those she shares a connection with brings her immense personal fulfillment, knowing her work directly impacts the health and vitality of the residents in her hometown.

Katy’s experience includes medical-surgical care, where she attended to patients of all ages.

Katy enjoys the outdoors and living on her family farm with her husband. She is passionate about reading and photography and enjoys hosting family game nights.

Subspecializing in wound care, Katy treats patients with acute, chronic or non-healing wounds at Coryell Health Advanced Wound Center, Building 3.

Katy is now accepting new patients, from newborns to the elderly at Coryell Health Medical Clinic- Gatesville, Building 2.
